adulteration

World of Co, Sophia, Bulgaria

Virtual Exhibition July 2020

Mass-produced dolls, coded male and female, are encased in plaster, their factory-made surfaces fossilised into singular, fragile forms. Fine metal wire evokes adulthood, underscoring the latent asexuality of the original objects.

The resulting sculpture occupies an ambiguous psychological space: no longer a toy for the hand, it becomes an object through which projection, memory, and cultural conditioning unfold.
